Finals Survival Week events will be held during the week of December 7 – December 11. Throughout the week University Recreation, University Dining, the Counseling Center, Student Health Services and Alcohol and Other Drug Prevention Education will be collaborating to offer events and giveaways to help students do their best on their finals.
Students can stop by the Zen Study Den in the Playzone in the Carmichael Recreation Center to boost their studying with free coffee, healthy brainpower snacks, and a peaceful environment to provide a relaxing opportunity to prepare for finals week. Students will also be able to enter to win a FREE 50 minute therapeutic massage provided by Student Health Services.
Students, faculty, and staff can take a break and relax from the chaos of finals week with the Yoga and Yogurt event on Wednesday December 9 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Mountains Ballroom in Talley Student Union. The first 30 to pre-register on imleagues.com will receive a free yoga mat from Dannon. You can bring your own yoga mat, or use one of University Recreation’s to relax, stretch, meditate, and eat a healthy yogurt snack provided by Dannon.
Look for tables in D.H. Hill Library, Talley Student Union and Hunt Library on Tuesday December 8 and Wednesday December 9, where students can grab a Finals Survival Kit, filled with free items to help them do their best. From calming tea and healthy energy bars, to Post-it tabs and healthy study strategies, these survival kits will have unique items to show our support and encourage students to do their best during finals week.
