Find Your Wolfpack
Dear NC State students,
I am so pleased to have you in our Pack. The start of a new academic year is exciting, but I want to acknowledge that it can also be a difficult time as you work to adjust to life on our vast campus.
You belong at NC State and we are here to help you succeed. The Division of Academic and Student Affairs and our campus partners have many resources to ensure you feel welcome and comfortable at our university. Explore some of the ways you can find your Wolfpack.
Community
- Join one of our 600 student organizations. Use the Get Involved student portal to find a group that aligns with your personal or professional goals.
- Connect with our Campus Community Centers. The African American Cultural Center, GLBT Center, Multicultural Student Affairs and the Women’s Center help create a welcoming community for everyone on campus.
- Find your passion with Arts NC State. All students are invited to audition for a play, perform in a concert, work behind the scenes or take a class.
Well-being
- If you need help getting your week organized, making a study plan or just want to chat about better sleep habits, drop-in for wellness coaching, no registration required.
- Take advantage of campus’ Wellness and Recreation resources. Join an intramural sports team, participate in group fitness or try an outdoor adventure.
- Both the Counseling Center and Prevention Services offer resources to students in need of additional support. Stop by a drop-in space or schedule a counseling appointment. Learn about NC State CARES and ways to help friends in need.
Success
The Academic Success Center offers free tutoring appointments, writing consultations, academic advising and career counseling. Learn more about their drop-in hours and available appointments for specific services.
Utilize the Career Development Center this semester to find a job, internship, or find professional attire for an interview or career fair.
Please utilize your spaces on campus this semester. It is my hope that during your time at NC State you feel an abundance of support and can experience all that it means to be a part of the Wolfpack.
In wellness,
Doneka R. Scott
