After a 2017 study found an alarming rate of food insecurity and homelessness among NC State students, the university rallied to solve the problem, expanding and promoting assistance programs such as Pack Essentials. Donor support for these programs is critical as students confront the economic fallout from the COVID-19 pandemic.
