Pack Resilience and Leadership Program

A multi-week certificate experience.

About the Program

Thriving in college begins with learning how to navigate challenges. The Pack Resilience and Leadership Program (PRLP) provides the strategies, skills and community to do just that. This multi-week certificate experience connects you with a small cohort and a dedicated staff facilitator to tackle counter-productive thinking and practice effective communication through interactive discussion. By expanding your personal resilience toolkit, you will learn to maintain your focus in high-stress situations while building a powerful, lasting support network of campus peers and mentors.

How does the program work?

Pack Resilience and Leadership Program Cohorts take part in six weekly sessions that run for about an hour and a half each week. Cohorts are intentionally small in size (15 or fewer students), so spots for each program are limited and on a first come, first served basis. This group size allows for optimal discussion and the ability to build strong connections with fellow students and staff.

Once you have successfully completed the program, you will receive a certificate and be invited to participate in the PRLP Alumni Group. More importantly, you will have built community, confidence and effective communication strategies, as well as learned skills to navigate adversity, change and uncertainty.

“During my time in the Pack Resilience and Leadership Program, I was given the opportunity to be vulnerable with both myself and others. That experience made a lasting difference as I entered my freshman year at NC State University. Through the program, I learned how to become a more open, empathetic and authentic leader.”

How do I sign up?

The Pack Resilience and Leadership Program is open to any student interested in strengthening their resilience and well-being skill set, though some cohorts are intended for certain audiences or participants must meet certain requirements. Below is a list of all cohorts currently accepting registrations as well as any criteria that must be met to register.

If all cohorts are full, or no cohorts are currently available that fit your schedule, please share your interest in participating by completing the Pack Resilience and Leadership Program Interest form and we will email you when more cohorts open up.

“This program was life changing, not just in my academic life, but also my personal and social life. I grew a lot from this program.”

“This program puts things in perspective and provides wonderful frameworks to objectively evaluate situations and emotional states and aid with building resilience. It was also very helpful having open, authentic discussions about several relevant topics with the rest of the cohort and the facilitator. I gained a lot from the program and look forward to practicing several of these lessons as I move forward!”
