Live on Campus

We offer a wide variety of options to fit your specific housing needs as well as several programs to help you find your community and grow personally and professionally.

It’s often said that “home is where the heart is,” and when you live on campus, you’ll be at the heart of the Wolfpack nation. No matter where you live at NC State, you will feel safe and included, and you will learn more about yourself as well as the people and the world around you.

University Housing

Our 20 residence halls include traditional, suite-style and hotel-style rooms and are conveniently located near your classes, campus resources and outdoor and recreation hubs. You’re also a short walk away from NC State’s dining halls, which are recognized among the best in the nation. Common areas within our residence halls also give you plenty of opportunities to bond with your neighbors and friends over a game of billiards, have a movie night or study together.

On-campus housing options also include several apartment complexes where you can be within walking distance or a short bike ride of campus amenities, but still enjoy the privacy and independence of apartment living. Most properties come fully furnished and include on-site common areas, wifi access, study spaces, access to food amenities and more.

Living and Learning Villages

The most important friendships you make in college are often the ones built on shared values. Our 15 Living and Learning Villages are communities of students joined by the same academic, personal or lifestyle interests, whether that’s a passion for the arts, social justice or a commitment to conservation. When you belong to a village, you live and learn in an inclusive, one-of-a-kind community and make lifelong friends in the process.

Fraternities and Sororities

The fraternity and sorority experience is a great compliment to the academic mission of NC State. With 50 organizations to choose from, you are sure to find a group of peers who will support you and help you become your best self. In fact, involvement in Greek organizations gives students a greater sense of belonging, which has been linked to a higher GPA and overall satisfaction with their college experience.

Fraternities and sororities also empower members to become civic leaders and engaged citizens. As a member of one of these organizations, you will have countless opportunities to volunteer in your community or raise money for charitable causes.
