Bio

Blunt joined the NC State Sports Medicine staff in August 2020 and oversees medical care for the Wolfpack Women’s Basketball program.

A Texas native, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette (2014), where she competed in track and field, and a Master of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Texas at Arlington (2016).

Prior to NC State, Blunt worked at the University of Kansas with women’s swimming and diving and spent two seasons at Wichita State University as the primary athletic trainer for women’s basketball and cheerleading. She also served on diversity and inclusion committees at both the conference and university levels.

She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, College Athletic Trainers’ Society, and North Carolina Athletic Trainers’ Association.
