Bio

Dave Johnson is the Associate Director of Student Success Initiatives in DASA at NC State.  Dave has held a variety of positions in Higher Education, including Equal Opportunity Officer at NC State and was an Civil Rights Investigator at West Virginia University. Dave has also been the Interim Director of Multicultural Student Affairs as well as the Interim Director of Education and Campus Engagement at NC State. 

These roles have provided Dave with broad experience in advocating for and facilitating student success, well-being and sense of belonging. Dave is a first-generation college student and proud alumn of West Virginia University. He holds a Masters in Higher Education and is also currently pursuing an MBA.

Dave is an avid sneakerhead and enjoys 80s and 90s pop culture, though he may have what some may call an “obsession” with Star Wars.
