Jay Cannon is the Associate Director for Student Leadership and Engagement at NC State University, where she leads strategic initiatives that foster student involvement, leadership development, and a sense of belonging. With nearly a decade of experience in higher education and nonprofit/ community work, she is passionate about creating spaces where individuals can lead authentically, build meaningful connections, and navigate challenges with confidence and resilience. As a facilitator, Jay hopes to bring a thoughtful, honest, and people-centered approach grounded in empathy, self-awareness, and practical leadership strategies.
